A lot of people are saying since Nate was so close to death he really should have worked things out with Brenda, etc. To take a quote from the movie "Parenthood", "Life is messy." I know from personal experience it doesn't always work out. A few years ago, I turned on the news as I heard there was an accident stopping things on the interstate. I found out ON THE NEWS that it was my fiance at the time and they said he was in a car with his "girlfriend" (not me.) His head went thru the windshield and took out the steering column but he lived. I was taken aback of course finding out on tv that he was cheating on me but after the initial shock, like Brenda, I was glad he was alive. I thought he might look upon the error of his ways but he was absolutely cruel to me and made it perfectly clear he wanted nothing to do with me. So as I said before, there are no fairy tales in life, it's messy. And by the way, the girlfriend who was in the accident with him dumped his ass about two months later. (Snicker snicker.)
